LeaseQuery Lease Entry Flow Redesign
Designed at Launch Interactive LLC.
LeaseQuery was a project like no other. As the leading UX Designer on this project I had to get deep into terminology I was not familiar with in the leasing world and this was no small feat. The project was to redesign the lease entry flow for the LeaseQuery product and create a design system they could continue to use after launch. There was a limitless amounts of lease entry edge cases to consider. I worked very closely with the client on this project knowing I needed a SME close at hand. After this project was complete, the client reached out to work with us again requesting that I be one of the 2 UX Designers assigned to the project.
Process
We started by doing a UX audit of the existing lease entry flow as well as exploring existing files the client had when they first took a stab at designing the flow internally. They ended up hiring Launch because they did not have the time and resources to focus on this flow like they knew that it needed. After spending some time with these documents and familiarizing myself with the leasing terminology and existing flow, we dove into stakeholder interviews. We presented all of our findings and recommendations to get us rolling into the Create phase.

We started off with component based wireframes using Figma creating a design system library for the client to continue using in the future. Using Figma was the best decision for this redesign being that it was a form design. So keeping this component based made it so much easier to collaborate within our internal team and make updates across the board quickly. We created multiple prototype flows with a couple different use cases in each and then ran user testing to solidify our designs and get to know what the users wanted when entering leases. After user testing we consolidated our designs into one final flow that we annotated and delivered to the client.

Results
The client was extremely happy with the end results and ended up learning a lot internally from all of our user testing and continued to expand their design system utilizing the base we created for them. I really enjoyed the close collaboration with the client on this project (it also helped that they were awesome to work with) and learning about an industry that I was not familiar with before the project began.
